Aprilia Racing returns to MotorLand Aragón

HOME GP FOR ESPARGARÓ AND VIÑALES

After last year's absence, the MotoGP returns to the MotorLand Aragón Circuit for the twelfth round of the season. Aleix Espargaró will be at work, along with teammate Maverick Viñales, in their home Grand Prix.

Espargaró heads to MotorLand Aragón with the goal of confirming his competitiveness after securing a podium in the sprint at Spielberg. The Spanish track has a special significance for him, having been on the podium at the 2022 race with Aprilia Racing and earned his first MotoGP podium here in 2014. Maverick Viñales is determined to climb back into the top positions after a challenging weekend in Austria. The Spanish rider has a good feeling with this track, where he won in Moto2 in 2014, and his best MotoGP result here has been a fourth-place finish.

MotorLand Aragón is a modern circuit located in Alcañiz, Spain, a place with a rich history in motorcycle racing, having hosted road races from 1963 to 2003. The track is 5.077 kilometers long and has 17 corners, 10 to the left and 7 to the right, as well as a long straight of almost 1,3 kilometers. It is a challenging, highly technical circuit, characterized by elevation changes, fast corners and heavy braking zones.

ALEIX ESPARGARÓ
"It's a track I really like and where I took my first MotoGP podium. This year there's new asphalt, so it will be interesting to discover the new conditions. The prospects are good because the last time we raced here, we finished on the podium with Aprilia. I'm looking forward to getting on the track and tackling the last Aragón GP of my career."

MAVERICK VIÑALES
"Aragón is a very unique track where understanding the level of grip will be crucial. With the new asphalt we will have to assess the conditions carefully. I think this is a track where we can do very well. We are highly motivated and will give 100%.
