New Aprilia SX and RX 125

POWERED BY THE HIGH-PERFORMANCE EURO 5+ ENGINE AND DESIGNED FOR YOUNG, SPORTY AND DEMANDING RIDERS, THE SUPERMOTO SX AND ENDURO RX EMBODY A NEW, HIGHLY DISTINCTIVE STYLE.

THESE COMPACT, FEISTY, FUN BIKES HAVE BEEN UPGRADED WITH EVEN MORE PREMIUM FEATURES: NEW COLOUR DIGITAL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER, FULL LED LIGHTING AND AN EXPANDED RANGE OF ACCESSORIES.

The Aprilia SX and RX 125 inherit Aprilia’s rich off-road racing legacy, a strong reputation built over the years and recently cemented by the Tuareg’s thrilling triumph at the Africa Eco Race. It is a tradition of lightweight, high-performance motorcycles that are fun to ride on everyday roads and the most challenging off-road trails.

Today, these two entry-level Aprilia models feature updated designs and advanced technology crafted to deliver even more enjoyment to young riders.

The SX and RX 125 share the same technical base. Yet, each has a distinct character that caters to different passions: SX 125 is Aprilia’s supermoto, designed for street and circuit fun, while RX 125 has a more off-road focus, ready to tackle any terrain. Both cater to young motorcyclists who demand performance, style and everyday riding safety.

With 17” wheels fitted with sport tyres, the Aprilia SX ranks as one of the most effective 125 cc road-riding models. It is agile, lightweight, and offers benchmark performance, powered by a 125 cc engine that now complies with the latest Euro 5+ standards, delivering best-in-class output.
Aprilia RX is tailored for off-road enthusiasts. Its typically off-road-sized wheels (21” at the front, 18” at the rear) shod with knobby tyres leave no doubt about the RX’s mission: rigorous performance and absolute control in any terrain.

The single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with a four-valve configuration has been fine-tuned and boasts the same top-class performance as its predecessor despite complying with the stricter Euro 5+ standards: 15 HP (11 kW) at 10,500 rpm and 11.5 Nm at 8,500 rpm, setting category benchmarks.

New, more streamlined design
Aprilia was the first to introduce a unique and highly innovative design, even on entry-level models like supermoto and enduro bikes. The new SX and RX 125 make their mark with an even more advanced style that reflects the latest trends in off-road motorcycling: the body panels have been completely redesigned, extending seamlessly from front to rear, giving both models a sleeker and more streamlined look. This effect is further enhanced by a new exhaust that is shorter and comes with a matte black cover, integrated more fully into the vehicle’s design.
The high-quality finishes remain unchanged: the frame, engine, swingarm, wheels, and double-section aluminium handlebars are all finished in an attractive gloss black.
Under the seat is a compartment where the USB socket (available as an accessory) can be fitted.

Safety and practicality: full LED lighting, colour digital instrument cluster
Reaffirming Aprilia’s commitment to creating advanced, versatile, and practical everyday bikes, the new SX and RX come with full LED lighting and a new, advanced colour digital instrument cluster. At the centre of the modern, easy-to-read screen is a striking new rev counter with a colour gradient from white to red. The instrument cluster also displays the selected gear and all journey information, including maximum speed and two trip odometers that record mileage travelled during riding sessions, average and current speed, travel time, and average and instant fuel consumption.

Chassis
The advanced suspension and high-performance ABS braking system of the Aprilia SX and RX deliver powerful braking and precise modulation, ensuring superior safety and efficiency. Aprilia was the first to introduce the Bosch ABS with anti-rollover mode in this market segment, acting on the front wheel to offer precise and total control in braking while also adjusting rear-wheel lift in the most abrupt braking.
The SX model boasts a large 300 mm front disc with a twin-piston floating caliper, complemented by a 220 mm rear disc, also with a floating caliper. The RX features two distinctive wave discs—a 260 mm front and a 220 mm rear—clearly taken from the racing world.
Both models are built around a robust steel dual beam frame and oversized suspension components. The powerful 41 mm USD fork provides 240 mm of wheel travel. At the rear, the long swingarm optimises traction, while a mono-shock with progressive linkage assures 210 mm of rear wheel travel.
Specialist motorbikes like the SX and RX demand high-quality components, particularly in the wheels, which are crucial for combining durability and lightweight construction. Aprilia RX features premium spoked wheels with black anodised rims. Aprilia SX also adopts spoked wheels, with 17-inch wide rims and generous sports tyres (100/80-17" front and 130/70-17" rear) for maximum grip in any condition.

Aprilia SX 125 and RX 125 are available in two new colour variants: the original Cubozoa White, featuring a white body with purple graphics and red details, and Varanus Black, where black combines with red for a classic Aprilia racing look.

A growing line of accessories
The extensive range of original Aprilia accessories for the small and feisty SX and RX expands with items designed to emphasise the bike’s sporty appearance. These include red anodised aluminium brake and clutch levers, which are adjustable for optimal ergonomics. An aluminium brake fluid reservoir cover with the same finish is also available. Anodised aluminium fork sliders protect the fork in case of falls.

A new rider accessory line dedicated to the SX and RX 125 offers safety, comfort, and style for young riders on off-road adventures. The new Aprilia Wheelie helmet features a high-strength thermoplastic resin shell and an adjustable visor. It pairs perfectly with the Aprilia Wheelie Goggles, with a transparent mirrored lens. The Aprilia Wheelie Gloves, made of stretch material, ensure perfect mobility, grip, and sensitivity.

Riders can complete their look with our technical clothing, developed in collaboration with Alpinestars to blend a sophisticated style with advanced protection.

-          Next Rival Tech Hoodie: the ideal garment for urban riding. This hoodie offers excellent abrasion resistance with reinforcements on the shoulders, elbows, and back. The main shell is a knitted fabric, giving it a casual look. Nucleon Flex Plus protectors on the shoulders and elbows ensure high protection.

-          Burnout Denim: Technical jeans with a regular straight fit, made from quality denim with internal aramid fibre panels for enhanced abrasion and cut protection. Nucleon knee protectors offer freedom of movement with a slim, discreet design.
