Home GP for Aprilia Racing at Misano

ALEIX ESPARGARÓ AND MAVERICK VIÑALES RENEW THE CHALLENGE AT THE GRAN PREMIO DI SAN MARINO E DELLA RIVIERA DI RIMINI

It's home GP for Aprilia Racing, as they arrive at the Misano World Circuit this weekend for the first of two races scheduled at the Italian track. After the Aragón GP, which finished just a few days ago, Espargaró and Viñales are back in business with the aim of being key contenders.

After the challenges he faced at Aragón, Aleix Espargaró is motivated to regain the feeling that has seen him finish on the podium on several occasions this season. The Spanish rider arrives confidently at a track where he hopes to make his mark in his last race in Italy with Aprilia.

Determined to turn the page after a difficult weekend at Aragón, Maverick Viñales is preparing to return to one of his favorite tracks. The Spanish rider has already claimed a MotoGP victory at Misano and has several podium finishes, including a third place in 2022 with Aprilia.

The Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, 4,23 km, is a technical track that challenges riders with its 16 corners, 10 of which are right-handers and 6 left-handers. The complexity of the circuit comes from the numerous changes of direction between corners and chicanes, giving the riders the chance to take different lines and thus create multiple overtaking opportunities.

ALEIX ESPARGARÓ
"Misano is an important track for us as it is Aprilia's home race. We'll be here for two consecutive races, with a test in between. It's a track with a lot of grip, so I'm hoping to regain the good sensations we had after the challenging Aragón GP. We'll do everything we can to get a good result."

MAVERICK VIÑALES
"I love riding at Misano, it's a track I've ridden a lot and know well. I hope to find a consistent feeling to have a good weekend. After Aragón we'll try to recover and get back into the fight. That's the spirit for the weekend - to get back to fighting for the positions that matter.”
