New challenge for Aprilia Tuareg Racing at the Hellas Rally Raid

CERUTTI AND MONTANARI ON THE STARTING GRID OF THE GREEK EVENT

After victory in the Italian MotoRally, Aprilia Tuareg Racing head to Greece for the Hellas Rally Raid from 27 May to 2 June. Seven stages, including two marathons, on a demanding route that will put the skills of Jacopo Cerutti and Francesco Montanari to a hard test.

The Aprilia Tuaregs, developed in close collaboration with GCorse of the Guareschi brothers, will be attempting to confirm their status as protagonists in the mountains of central Greece. The Hellas Rally Raid is also an important chance for the Aprilia Tuareg Racing team to prepare for the Africa Eco Race, because the terrain will be similar to what the riders will find in Morocco.

Jacopo Cerutti is ready to put in another solid performance in a rally he has already participated in twice before. For Montanari, on the other hand, it will be his first experience in this rally, but he is determined to demonstrate his worth. Both riders will participate in the FIM Twin category with the Aprilia Tuareg 660.

“We are starting with a bike that we know well. I’ve ridden this race twice, not exactly in that area, but I’m still familiar with it. It is a rather demanding race because it lasts quite a few days. The average times are low, but there are a lot of rocks, so it becomes both physically demanding and hard on the bike. I’m confident. I’m headed to Hellas in shape and ready to go.”

FRANCESCO MONTANARI
“An extremely long, but fantastic race awaits us. It will be the first time for me, but hearing Jacopo’s stories, it will be fun. I’ve been training with him and I’ve tried to maintain a good pace and to do extremely long runs. We’ll be arriving ready to go and we’ll give one hundred percent.”
