IT WAS A RECORD-SETTING EDITION - OVER 20 THOUSAND VESPAS ARRIVED IN PONTEDERA FROM FIVE CONTINENTS AND MORE THAN 30 THOUSAND VESPISTI WITH THEM

VESPA CLUBS FROM 55 COUNTRIES WERE REPRESENTED

15 THOUSAND VESPAS OF EVERY YEAR AND MODEL PARTICIPATED IN THE TRADITIONAL PARADE

APPOINTMENT IN GIJÓN, SPAIN, FOR THE 2025 EDITION

Pontedera, 21 April 2024 - In Pontedera, province of Pisa, the Vespa World Days 2024 event has come to a close.
For the celebration of 140 years since the foundation of Piaggio, the city where Vespa was born and where it has been manufactured non-stop since 1946 hosted, for the first time, the annual rally of Vespa Clubs from all over the world, and it was a record-setting edition.

Starting from the number of participating Vespisti, estimated to be more than thirty thousand. Twenty thousand Vespas arrived from every European country, led by the numerous and traditional representatives from Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Spain, Austria and Switzerland, but also from other continents. Vespisti stood out from Australia, Hong Kong, Mexico, Argentina, the Philippines, the United States, Canada, and Colombia, for a total of 55 national Vespa Clubs officially represented.

The great Vespa Parade on Saturday broke every previous record with at least 15 thousand Vespas which, starting from Pontedera, paraded through the Valdera hills. A colourful serpentine over 16 kilometres long in which the entire Vespa history was represented, from the earliest and rarest 98cc all the way to the ultra-modern GTS and Primavera models.

The event ended with the presentation of the highly sought after awards, featuring the Vespisti who participated in the Elegance Competition, and the Vespa Clubs who took part in the Vespa Trophy, the touring trophy where the Clubs are called on to demonstrate the stops along their journey to Pontedera with photos and special stamps in their Travel Books.
All the winners and rankings will be available soon on the Vespa World Club website, www.vespaworldclub.org.

Throughout the event, the Piaggio Museum was literally assaulted by thousands of visitors every day, as were the guided tours of the Vespa factory on Saturday and Sunday.

Now, as all the Vespisti embark on their return journeys, thoughts have already turned to next year’s edition. The Vespa World Club assembly approved the proposal by the Vespa Club of Spain and Vespa World Days 2025 will be hosted by the city of Gijón, in Asturias, with the Atlantic Ocean providing the splendid backdrop.
