APRILIA FULL HOUSE IN AUSTRIA

ON TRACK WITH ALEIX AND MAVERICK ALSO TEST RIDER LORENZO SAVADORI

It will be a complete lineup for Aprilia in Austria, the thirteenth round of the 2022 MotoGP season. At the Red Bull Ring, alongside Aleix Espargaró and Maverick Viñales, test rider Lorenzo Savadori will also be back on track, in his fifth wild card. The riders will find a modified track, with the insertion of a chicane in what was the second straight: although the simulations have already provided the technicians with preliminary information on the setup, it will be interesting to evaluate the different interpretations of the new configuration.

Aleix, second in the world standing, continues his confrontation with leader and World Champion Fabio Quartararo in Austria. The spotlight is obviously on his physical condition, after a heroic weekend at Silverstone where he had to deal with the heavy after-effects of a crash. The Spanish rider's recovery is progressing well, even if there is still some pain in his right foot, a situation that should not however affect the Austrian weekend.

Maverick arrives at Spielberg after two great performances. Third place at Assen and second place at Silverstone are confirmation of the progress made by Viñales on the RS-GP, an alchemy that the Spanish rider wants to confirm.

ALEIX ESPARGARÓ
"My physical situation is improving day by day. The edema in my left foot has practically disappeared while my right foot, the one that was fractured at Silverstone, is still causing me some pain. However, I think I won't have any problems this weekend and I'm aiming for a good race. I am curious to see how the RS-GP will perform at the Austrian track, our goal remains to be fast at every opportunity."

MAVERICK VIÑALES
"We come from two podiums in a row, our morale is definitely positive. I learnt a lot in the race at Silverstone and I will use the information gathered to continue to improve. Spielberg is a track I like and it could be the right opportunity to show the progress we have made over the last twelve months."

LORENZO SAVADORI
"I am obviously happy to be back on track together with Aleix and Maverick. The races are the perfect complement to the great work we are doing with the Aprilia Test Team, because comparing ourselves with the best riders in the world helps us gather important data on the development of the RS-GP. Also because the Austrian track is a special, interesting one. I have some discomfort in my shoulder after a training injury but the checks have ruled out serious consequences and I'm recovering well, so I hope to have a good weekend".
