Pontedera, 13th April 2018 - Saturday 21st April and Sunday 22nd April, Spring is on its way to Vespa House thanks to the “Vespa Color Days”, a weekend of celebrations that will transform the entire town of Pontedera into a big Vespa village, with a program full of events tied to the passion for the most loved scooter in the world.
It will be a great happening, where thousands of Vespa fans, families and enthusiasts are expected to attend from all over Italy. During this event everybody will be able to plunge into Vespa's coloured universe, exactly fifty years after the birth of a model that would have become a timeless classic, the Vespa Primavera. Small, nimble, propelled by a perky engine, Primavera lent wings to several generations ever since 1968. It became a legendary model, but also one of the most spectacular commercial successes in Vespa's history.
50 years from the “revolution” called Primavera, Vespa celebrates the territory, one of its most iconic models and the passion that surrounds the extraordinary Italian brand by opening the doors of the places were a new Vespa continuously sees the light ever since 1946.
The Pontedera plant can be visited free of charge, upon booking online at http://colordays.vespa.com/en or directly on the spot. A unique chance, a 45 minutes tour through Vespa's spectacular assembly lines on board of a little electric train, accompanied by the very people that every day are engaged in building a true myth on two wheels, herald of the Italian style throughout the world.
Not only Vespa: the Piaggio museum has been renovated and has grown both in size and in regard to the collections, in order to become Italy's greatest museum about mobility and motorcycles. The new Museum, that will be inaugurated this weekend, can be visited free of charge. Also in this case, in order to be allowed in, it's sufficient to book on the spot or with the specific online form at http://colordays.vespa.com/en. Thanks to a collaboration with the Italian Post, during Saturday all the Museum's visitors will receive - until copies are available - a postcard celebrating Vespa Primavera's 50th anniversary with a special philatelist stamp cancellation.
Vespa Color Days will be a spectacular event, that will involve the whole town of Pontedera: An itinerary to discover Vespa's world will unwind from viale Rinaldo Piaggio, that is overlooked by the factory, to the town's historical centre. It will also involve the city centre's shops as well as the street food areas. At the end of this journey through atmospheres, memories, the most famous songs and the historical Vespas there will be the heart of the event: the Vespa Village, in Piazza Martiri della Libertà, that will be the centre of the fun thanks to the Street Clerks's music. It's a group with a great "live" impact that, after having taken part in X-Factor 7, has become the resident band of the “E poi c’è Cattelan” show on Sky Uno.
The joy, the events and the entertainment of the Vespa Village will be the frame for the test rides that will allow test driving the new Vespa models, including the special Vespa Primavera 50th Anniversary series that is dedicated to Primavera's half a century.
Whoever will book for the event - online or on the spot - will be able to ask for their own Vespa Color Days “passaport” . After visiting all the event's areas and collecting the stamps it will give you the right to pick up a gift at the Vespa Village.
The online subscription and all the event's details are available in the specific http://colordays.vespa.com/en website or in www.vespa.com.
